COMMENTS

"Dawn Mist" is moored at a club at Nantwich. Our cruising is a wee bit limited these days as my wife has arthritis of the knees and hip joints and cannot stand for too long handling the boat while I do the locks. However we a good choice of the Shropshire Union, Trent and Mersey and Middlewich Arm. The Bridgewater and River Weaver are popular cruising waters for us.  "Dawn Mist" is a mark 1 Norman 23 and is fitted out as a three berth. There is no heating but have installed a 12 volt Cool Box for milk and such. The outboard is a 9.9 Yamaha of about 1990 vintage and now runs well.  The motor ran badly for a years and could not pin down the fault for a long time until I narrowed the cause down to the C.D.I. unit, which I replaced with a new one for a few pennies under £200 and she now runs like a bird.  We have had the boat for 7 years and get as much use out of it as possible.  If anyone has a problem with the running of a Yamaha I may be able to help.
